2026 Primary Election Important Dates

2026 Primary Election Day: Tuesday, March 3rd, 2026.
Ballots will be mailed out starting: Monday, January 12th, 2026.
Last day to request a ballot: Tuesday, February 17th, 2026 by 5:00 p.m.
Absentee Ballot Return Deadline: Tuesday, March 3rd, 2026 in our office by 7:30 p.m.
First Day of Early Voting: Thursday, February 12th, 2026.
Last Day of Early Voting: Saturday, February 28th, 2026.
Voter Registration Deadline for this Election: Friday February 06th, 2026 by 5:00 p.m.
Certification of Primary: Friday, March 13th, 2026.

You may vote at any Mecklenburg County voting location (or county that you reside in).

Election Day - March 3rd

You must vote at your assigned location.
